Meet Dr. Chaekal
Dr. Chaekal feels privileged to provide the highest level of orthodontic care to the people in her community, and she approaches her treatment of patients like they are her second family.
She was born and raised in Korea before moving to the United States for her education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at University of California Berkley. From there, Dr. Chaekal earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Columbia University as well as her Certificate of Orthodontics.
Dr. Chaekal has been an Elite Preferred Provider for Invisalign® treatment (reserved for the top 1% of providers nationwide) since 2008. She is one of a handful of women in the world to have earned this title, successfully treating more than 1,000 patients with Invisalign, and accomplishing outstanding results.
Keeping up with new technology is imperative in the orthodontic field and to Dr. Chaekal. She participates in continuing education through classes and seminars throughout the year.
Dr. Chaekel lives in Oahu with her husband, Dr. Michon Morita. They have two, beautiful children and spending time with her family is important to her. She also enjoys playing the piano.

Meet Dr. Ing
Dr. Gilbert Ing was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After attending Northeastern Illinois University, he went to Universidad Central Del Este where he achieved his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988. From there, Dr. Ing attended the University of the Pacific's International Dental Studies Program in San Francisco, California.
He moved to Oahu in 1991 and worked for a dental clinic until 1999. He then went on to a private practice in Kailua, Oahu. In 2001, Dr. Ing completed the UCLA Aesthetic Continuum for cosmetic dentistry and then divided time between his personal dental office and Dr. Daniel Mayeda's Adult Comprehensive and Cosmetic dental practice in Kahului, Maui. Dr. Ing is proud to have served the Kailua and Kahului communities with comprehensive and preventive dental care.
Dr. Ing has been a resident of Kapolei since 1992 and is happy to now bring his dental services to his home community at the Dental World Kapolei Office.

Meet Dr. Kang
Dr. George Kang graduate from the University of North Carolina school of Dentistry in 1999 while on a United States Naval scholarship. As a Navy dentist in Yokosuka, Japan and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, he was able to complete a 3-year program consisting of an advanced education in General Dentistry and internships in oral surgery, periodontal surgery, root canals and oral medicine.
Dr. Kang’s education continued when he moved to Portland, Oregon with the prestigious Mish Implant Institute. His extensive training has given him the opportunity to provide oversight and training to dentists from all over the world. Dr. Kang was the President of one of the largest dentist-led group practices on the west coast. He then moved to Beijing where he became the general manager and chief dental officer for the largest JCI accredited international hospital group in China.
Dr. Kang is happy to be back home on Oahu where his sons are attending college at UH. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons.
Dr. Kang provides implant services, bone grafting, gum surgery, wisdom teeth extractions and root canals in addition to general dentistry. He enjoys creating a friendly and relaxing experience for his patients.
Meet Dr. Jaicks
Dr. John Jaicks is a general dentist that is highly skilled in a wide variety of dental procedures. He enjoys making the dental experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Dr. Jaicks was born in Cleveland, Ohio and is a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns. He attended East Carolina University, graduating with BS in Biochemistry. Dr. Jaicks graduated from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. He was an executive member of the Alpha Omega Dental Organization on the International level.
After graduation, he returned home to practice in Ohio. Dr. Jaicks relocated to Oahu and has fallen in love with much of what the island has to offer. In his free time, Dr. Jaicks enjoys hiking, surfing, playing golf and disc golf, travelling and eating local foods.
Meet Dr. Nagata
Dr. Dennis Nagata was born and raised in Honolulu. He is a graduate of Iolani School. He was inspired to pursue dentistry by his mother Nancy who worked with the military at Schofield Barracks Dental clinic as a dental assistant. Dr. Nagata received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California in 1979.
Dr. Nagata founded the Hawaii Center for Cosmetic and Laser dentistry in 1979. Dr. Nagata was a former clinical instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies where he helped dentists learn advanced and specialized techniques to help patients in need of complex treatment. He continues to lecture and present cases and participates in numerous post graduate programs.
Dr. Nagata specializes in Comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry, TMJ problems, Implantology and Sleep Dentistry. Dr. Nagata also is a Premier Provider for Invisalign Clear Aligners. Dr. Nagata has served as a Clinical Instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Nagata’s expertise and dedication combine artistry and technology to give his patients a Smile that exudes Confidence, Beauty and Well-Being. Dr. Nagata is also deeply involved with Sleep Dentistry and is trained and certified to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea using Oral Appliances and Nightlase Snoring Reduction therapy.
In 2018 Dr. Nagata was honored to be inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy. The Pierre Fauchard Academy recognizes dentists who uphold the highest standards of professionalism in dentistry and provide excellence in all phases of dentistry for patients and continue to mentor other dentists to strive for excellence in the dental profession.

Meet Dr. Bodnar
Dr. Hannah Bodnar grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University. She earned her doctorate of dental surgery from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. At both MSU and UNC, she was awarded the summa cum laude distinction for her academic excellence. To further her experience in orthodontics, Dr. Bodnar spend an additional three years at the UCLA school of Dentistry, where she served as chief resident, completing the Advanced Education Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics program. During this time, she also earned a Master’s degree in oral biology and completed extensive research in the field.
Dr. Bodnar loves working with her patients and helping them build confidence in their smiles. Dr. Bodnar is an avid traveler, adventure-seeker, and exercise enthusiast. In her free time she loves to run, read, hike and spend time with her friends and family. She is excited to make Hawaii her new home and looks forward to serving the communities of Oahu and Big Island!
